UPM Formi 3D granules are easy to process in extrusion due to good melt strength and dimensional stability. UPM Formi 3D can be blended with native PLA plastic.

Fused Granular Fabrication (FGF)

Grade recommendation: UPM Formi 3D 20
UPM Formi 3D 20 is an excellent material for granulate-based 3D printing with large nozzles (2–8 mm) due to its dimensional stability.

  • Cellulose fi bres prevent the creation of internal stresses
  • Soft to sand
  • Improved paint absorption
  • Can be glued using PVAC glue

Granulate-based printing is 37 times faster than fi lament-based methods on average, enabling large constructions to be printed effi ciently.

​​Natural touch and light colors

Various color possibilities with matte surface texture including light colors are possible due to the pure lignin-free cellulose fibers.

In filament extrusion, the recommended amount of added PLA-based color masterbatch is 0,75% or lower.
